I'm a Canadian/British freelance sound engineer based in London, England.

I specialise in live FOH concert sound mixing, broadcast recording/mixing, as well as studio recording.

FOH	Extensive experience live FOH mixing at the very highest level, around the world, for over 25 years. In all sizes of venues from largest outdoor festivals and events, from to stadiums, arenas, all the way to theatres and more intimate venues.
Styles	Familiarity with many forms of musical content including large symphony orchestras, choral and operatic performances, string sections, brass, woodwind and percussion, not only in their own context, but also in partnership with pop & rock music.
Outdoors	Experience of numerous complex large scale outdoor events
Systems	Advanced skills in design, implementation and optimisation of large modern sound systems including d&b J & SL Series, L'Acoustics K Series, VDOSC, Meyer, Adamson and many others.
Tech	Advanced familiarity with most leading software & hardware technologies for loudspeaker management, optimisation, equalisation and audio distribution.
Desks	Deep working knowledge modern mixing desks including Digico SD Series, SSL, Avid Live, Midas Pro, Soundcraft & Studer, Yamaha etc..., in addition to many classic & modern analogue desks.
Immersive	Up to date on all currently emerging immersive surround techonologies
Mixes	My own stereo mixes used for many live internet streams, TV & Radio broadcasts. Most recently including: TRNSMT, Austin City Limits, Lollapalooza, VPRO, P3 Sweden, Rock Werchter etc..
TV & Radio	Specialist experience mixing live sound in TV & radio broadcast environments. On staff for several shows including Top Of the Pops (BBC UK) (2004 - 2006) & TFI Friday (Channel 4 UK) (2015) John Bishop Christmas Special (BBC UK) (2015), Sir Bruce: A Celebration (BBC UK) (2018).

Tech	Specialist knowledge and experience designing, implementing and operating mobile digital multi-track recording systems on many hardware and software platforms.
Details	In depth working knowledge of Avid Pro Tools software/hardware platform, native MADI & Dante recording systems including Nuendo, Logic Pro, iZ Radar, Waves SoundGrid & Plug-ins etc.. As well as most pro audio hardware products & software for both mac and pc.

Studio Recording & Mixing

Although most of my working life has been concentrated in live music, I have recieved extensive experience in studio recording techniques & have been involved in numerous studio recordings thorughout my working life, whenever the opportunity has presented itself.

I am uniquely familiar with many vintage analog recording techniques (especially with the involvement of magnetic tape), as well as most current digital recording platforms.I'm well-versed in Pro Tools HD, Logic Pro, Reaper, Studio One, RADAR and many other computer-based recording/mixing systems & audio production software.
